"How to Build Web 3.0 Applications for Healthcare?" by iEHR.eu: Half-day tutorial at Medicine 2.0 Congress 2014

It’s our great pleasure to announce, that iEHR.eu has been selected to deliver half-day tutorial at 2014 Medicine 2.0 Congress.
“How to Build Web 3.0 Applications for Healthcare by Combining Web-Oriented Architecture and Semantic Interoperability Standards?” is intended to shape participants’ approach to development of healthcare core systems, using modern architectural patterns and focusing on semantic interoperability. It is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate and discuss how healthcare specific interoperability standards may be incorporated into semantic web philosophy and practice.
You will be most welcome in Malaga, Spain, where the Medicine 2.0 Congress will be held on 9-10, October 2014. The exact date of our tutorial is not decided yet, but we have been informed, that it will take place during the Congress or on the day before.

iEHR.eu proposed ART-DECOR to be source repository for Polish IG

We have proposed to Polish eHealth agency (CSIOZ) to convert the existing draft national Implementation Guide for HL7 CDA documents to ART-DECOR format and use it as source repository of all IG related artefacts. If accepted, the next version of IG will be already published in that format being available for HL7 European and global community.
22nd Nov 2013: HL7 UK Interoperability Forum in London

The HL7 UK Interoperability Forum took place in London on 22nd November 2013. Philip Scott, Chair of HL7 UK, presented latest developments in healthcare interoperability in Europe and across Atlantic. Robert Warden of Open Mapping Software presented the idea and solution for enabling relational databases as FHIR servers. Richard Kavanagh, Head of Data Standards at HSCIC, delivered thorough review of FHIR projects in NHS. John Chelsom from City University presented cityEHR and Roman Radomski of iEHR.eu spoke about first Polish national IG for CDA.
25th April 2013: iEHR.eu commissioned to develop an implementation guide for the first Polish national implementation of HL7 CDA

We proudly announce that iEHR.eu has been commissioned by the Polish eHealth agency (CSIOZ) to develop CDA implementation guide for the very first nation-wide project of electronic medical documentation exchange. Before the end of 2013 the first electronic documents are planned to be commonly exchanged in Poland: ePrescription, eRefferal and eOrder (of supply).

21st December 2012: LUX MED to be acquired by BUPA

LUX MED Group, the biggest private healthcare provider in Poland will be acquired by BUPA, the global leader of healthcare sector worldwide. BUPA has more than 10 mln clients in UK, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, Saudi Arabia, Thailand and India. The deal will be finalized in the first quarter of 2013.
29th – 30th Novemeber 2012: iEHR.eu delivered CDA workshop at the CSIOZ conference in Warsaw, Poland

iEHR.eu has delivered training on HL7 CDA software implementation during the III Conference on EHR, organized by Polish eHealth agency (CSIOZ) in Warsaw. The participants were analysts and programmers from software vendors and system owners, who will face the challenge of EHR implementation in conformance to HL7 CDA standard.
The Polish eHealth agency (CSIOZ) has recommended HL7 CDA as the national standard for electronic medical documents.

According to Polish regulations, the EHR will be obligatory for all medical service providers in 2014. Recently, the National Centre for Healthcare Information Systems (being the official government eHealth agency in Poland) has issued the recommendation of HL7 CDA as the standard for electronic medical document. The very challenging plan assumes that in 2014 all Polish medical service providers will be obligated to maintain the EHR systems and to be able to exchange medical documents in electronic form.
IHIC 2012 in Vienna: International HL7 Interoperability Conference

iEHR.eu has participated in the 13th International HL7 Interoperability Conference in Vienna, Austria. We have delivered oral paper presenting our attempt to investigate the possibility to implement the CDA compliant solution with very restricted minimum requirements (no integration with EHR system, no database and no online connection). The paper will be published by European Journal of Biomedical Informatics.
